The Silent Witnesses

A decorative diffuser disc, hand-cast in cured gypsum and made to scent a drawer, a wardrobe or a quiet corner. The frames are hand-painted in antique gold and finished with a green velvet ribbon. Each arrives quite innocent, with no scent of its own, waiting to be anointed with a few drops of your own fragrance or essential oil. The moment you do, it becomes an accessory, quietly perfuming wherever you hang it.

The Story

Where it began

Some people inherit heirlooms; I inherited a lifelong obsession with a good murder mystery.

Raised on a steady diet of eccentric sleuths, questionable alibis, and aristocratic grandmothers with lethal intentions, I quickly learned that the true culprit isn't the butler, it's the atmosphere. A study is thick with tobacco and financial ruin. A dressing room smells of crisp rosewater, expensive secrets, and light blackmail.

The Alibi Collection is the logical outcome of asking: What if we bottled the scent of a locked-room mystery?

We craft home fragrances inspired by the rooms where the drama unfolded. Warm amber and sandalwood for the study, fig leaf and bergamot for the conservatory doors left recklessly ajar, and velvet rose for the room where everyone pretends nothing happened.

No actual crimes were committed in the making of these products. Probably.

Because in a good mystery, the scene of the crime always smells of the room it happened in.

No Two Alike

Made by hand

Every candle is hand-poured and every diffuser hand-cast in small batches, so no two pieces are ever quite identical. A faint swirl, a soft edge, the odd air bubble caught in the plaster: these are the natural character of something made by hand, the quiet signature of a small-batch pour. Each piece is a little different, and all the lovelier for it.

Everything is made to order and finished by hand, from the pour to the packaging. Ready pieces are dispatched within 3 to 5 working days. For personalised, larger or wholesale orders we agree a clear production and delivery schedule with you when you order, so you always know exactly when your order will arrive. Every order is sent tracked via Royal Mail.
